چکیده
Intracranial aneurysms are bulges in vessels that prone to rupture with attendant morbidity and mortality. Early detection treatment can avoid its associated consequences. Endovascular of wide neck be challenging due potential coil migration or protrusion. The use intracranial stents balloons help overcome some these management challenges. We present 3 cases endovascular wide-neck aneurysms. first patient presented a left middle cerebral artery aneurysm was successfully treated stent-assisted coiling complete obliteration the aneurysmal sac. second large, cavernous internal carotid flow diverter stent while third case posterior communicating also coiling. Even though is technically challenging, evolution new techniques such as make treatments safe.

Management of intracranial aneurysms.
Intracranial aneurysms are lesions commonly encountered by neurosurgeons, usually as a result of subarachnoid hemorrhage. The preferred treatment of these aneurysms is either surgical clipping or endovascular coiling, both of which eliminate the aneurysm from the normal circulation to prevent aneurysmal enlargement or additional hemorrhage. Despite advances over the last several decades in the ...
متن کاملActual metal coverage at the neck is critical for flow-diverting stents in treating intracranial aneurysms.
We read the interesting article by Schneiders et al, entitled “A Flow-Diverting Stent Is Not a Pressure-Diverting Stent.” The authors measured intra-aneurysmal pressure before, during, and after placement of a flow-diverting (FD) stent and found that the pressure inside the aneurysm momentarily decreased during placement but was restored to baseline values within minutes. They agreed with the a...
متن کاملRecurrent intracranial aneurysms after successful neck clipping.
BACKGROUND To report the authors' experience with recurrent aneurysms after primarily completely clipped cerebral aneurysms and discuss mechanisms of recurrence and recommended management. METHODS Data were available for 1016 consecutive patients who underwent clipping of ruptured and unruptured aneurysms in a 15-year period from 1993-2007. RESULTS Nine patients were treated for recurrent a...
متن کاملStent-Assisted Coiling of Wide-Neck Intracranial Aneurysms Using Low-Profile LEO Baby Stents: Initial and Midterm Results.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Low-profile self-expandable stents were recently introduced for the treatment of wide-neck intracranial aneurysms. This study investigated the initial and midterm clinical and angiographic results of LEO Baby stent-assisted coiling in the treatment of wide-neck intracranial aneurysms. MATERIALS AND METHODS A retrospective review was performed to identify patients who we...
متن کاملUse of Intracranial Stenting to Secure Unstable Liquid Embolic Casts in Wide-Neck Sidewall Intracranial Aneurysms: Erratum.
BACKGROUND Onyx HD 500 (eV3, Irvine, CA) is a high-viscosity liquid embolic agent that has recently been approved in the United States as a humanitarian use device for the treatment of wide-neck sidewall intracranial aneurysms. Preliminary evidence suggest that liquid embolic agents can provide improved angiographic results with a lower incidence of recanalization compared to coil embolization....
